New to Field Day?
Field Day is the ARRL’s annual emergency-preparedness exercise and the most popular operating event of the year. Clubs and individuals set up stations — often on emergency power in parks and fields — and make as many contacts as they can in a 24-hour period. It’s part contest, part picnic, and the best weekend of the year to try the hobby. Everyone is welcome at Tyler State Park, licensed or not — come watch, learn, and get on the air at the GOTA (Get On The Air) station.
