Heathkit solid state Volt Ohm Meter model IM-105. This is a working meter that is fairly accurate for it’s age. I purchased a new 15v battery, Exell 411 or NEDA 208 ($21.15) . Sold with manual and case.
First I used a 1000 ohm precision resistor, it measures a thousand ohms on the x1, x10, x100 and 1k scales. Next I set the meter on the 250v AC scale and pushed the test leads into a 120v socket. The meter reads very close to 120v.
The last pic shows the off position – no battery drain. Incidentally, the meter itself is made by Weston.
This is sold as a collectors item, add to your Heathkit collection. It is not intended as a working unit for everyday use.
